Raspberry Pi Applications
The Raspberry Pi is a powerful Linux micro computer, the size of a box of Smarties. It supports both MySQL and node.js, which allows for a very powerful development environment.
During 2016 and 2017 I did a considerable amount of work on the Pi, mainly on connecting temperature and humidity sensors to measure local weather conditions. I initially had my Pi connected to the internet but that became a bit of a security issue so I stopped it.
Below are some of the projects I created on the Pi.
Measure the temperature and humidity in my office as recorded by a DHT22 temperature sensor on my Rasperry Pi.
Open a stream of temperature and humidity readings from my Raspberry Pi.
Create QR Codes: either on the Raspberry Pi or on the local page.
Create barcodes on the Raspberry Pi and send them here.
Do some cryptography. Derive password-based keys and use them to encrypt/decrypt strings.
