This album has no particular theme other than to admit that I am an idle man and that the best decision you can ever make is "What the hell!" It includes two songs by my partner Mel Williams, You're My Everything and I'm OK! I have also included two covers: Ode To Billie Joe by Bobbie Gentry [1967] and Oh I Wept by Free [1970].

The cover picture was taken in my garden in May 2026.

Thanks as usual to my best friend and partner Mel Williams for encouragement and support, and especially for contributing to this fine music album.

*****

I mostly play my Taylor 514-C steel string acoustic, with occasional lead breaks on my Aria nylon string acoustic, both through a single Rode NT2A microphone. I play a Fender Jazz Bass direct into my Scarlet 4i4 audio interface. The drums come out of a Alesis SR16 drum box and occasionally through Cubase Groove Agent, via my MIDI interface . Everything else (strings, flutes, sax, etc) is from a Roland JUNO-D keyboard synthesizer. The album was recorded on Cubase 14 Pro.

The album was recorded in my home studio in Somerset West between September 2025 and May 2026.
